Several dance crew from all over the Philippines have joined the biggest interschool dance competition – the Smart Jump In Dance Off organized by mobile leader Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart).

Now, the stage is set for the best crew of them all, to be declared champions in the grand finals happening on July 20 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

High school and college-based dance teams showed their best and wildest dance routine by submitting audition videos via the Smart Jump In website since March 2013. After a grueling screening process, 66 regional qualifiers emerged from Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.

The 66 dance crew advanced to the regional auditions. As their respective schools showed overwhelming support, the dance crew battled it out at SM event centers in Rosales, North EDSA, Mall of Asia, Dasmariñas, Iloilo, Cebu, Davao, and Cagayan De Oro.

“We received a number of online audition videos and we were impressed by the talent of our young dance crew from all over the Philippines,” said Jane Basas, head of Smart’s Prepaid Business Group. “Now, only the best of the best remain and we cannot wait to crown the very first champion of the Smart Jump In Dance Off.”

You can support your school and show your school pride as you catch your school’s dance crew perform live for the grand finals. More than P4 million worth of prizes await the winning teams and their schools. The best dance group will also have the chance to be the official Smart Jump In crew, dancing to the official Smart Jump In anthem popularized by Smart ambassadors apl.de.ap and Jessica Sanchez.
