4 Da Best Plus One new set of comedy icons will fire up the stage once again on March 13 and 14 at the Music Museum. Selected carefully, undergone audition and workshops, Director Andrew “Mamu” De Real chose Candy Pangilinan, Ate Gay, Gladys Guevarra, and Rufa Mae Quinto plus Kim Idol. Mamu promised a different night that will be filled with bigger, better and bolder monologues that both old and young audiences will enjoy.
From the grand press conference that took place yesterday at Packo’s Grill Restaurant in Quezon City, the cast together with Mamu shared how they carefully selected the five (5) comediennes and how they differ to each other that will surely make this concert a hit. We are not in the event of the concert yet but we already had a fun share of what might be the evening like on March 13. Everyone is already looking forward to it. When they say, one is enough and two is too much, imagine with five (5) crazy-but-wittingly-fun night.
Asked how are they preparing for the event, Rufa Mae said, “Meeting-meeting, aral-aral, ganyan..” while Candy said she is exercising and reading a lot about current events. According to Mamu this is the first time that everyone will be working with each other in this kind of project though they were all good friends off-cam. Even billing is actually not an issue to them. No matter how it was arranged, the cast said what’s important is they have this great project and they are having fun working with one another.
Love life is never neglected in every press conference. Funny thing was, Ate Gay, Candy, Rufa Mae and Gladys instantly created their statuses. Ate Gay status is On-Going, Candy is Under Construction, Rufa Mae is Come what May and Gladys is Under Renovation.
