It is a devastating news for the Philippine Comedy Queen Ai Ai Delas Alas that her pre-Valentine concert “Ai Heart Papa” in The Theater at Solaire is now CANCELLED.
She announced it yesterday through text messages sent to ABS-CBN News stating that the concert producer, Jacob Fernandez, failed to settle the rental of the concert venue and talent fees of the musicians and other production staff.
The trouble started when Richard Yap supposed appearance was withdrawn from the concert because of “technical problem.” He was replaced by Aljur Abrenica and JC De Vera.
Delas Alas even agreed to co-produce the show since it was already out in the public, just for the sake of those who bought the tickets. Unbeknownst to Ai Ai, having the venue unpaid, she decided to call it quits.
“I Heart Papa” was acclaimed as the first all-Filipino shows to be staged at the new theater at Solaire after it opened with “Chicago” last December.
The Comedy Queen Concert will send a press release soon on when can the ticket buyers refund their money. She is also eyeing to have a concert on Mother’s Day.
Kapamilya network is still waiting for Jacob Fernandez to air his side.
