Warner Music PH, one of the country’s top record label, returned to local music scene with pride. Destine to soar high under their wings are semi-raw artists ALEPH, SUD & Band. The group’s official contract signing was held at the trendy Commune Artisan Cafe’ (aka the blogger’s hub) along Salcedo Village, in Makati City last 30th of January.
Not a Belter
Aleph, 22, sings like Norah Jones. “I was not a popular student till I joined singing contests”, the charming Brit-Pinoy quoted. She was radiant in her full smile, as well as in half smile. Prior to becoming a soloist, she has made strong a bond with the boy band she called brothers. They played online games together, food trip, read books and make frantic jokes in their free time; beside frequenting bars, & lounges to jive. Musically, she was honest enough to admit her frustration in belting a high note. Aleph knew her vocal range limit. Good thing, she kept on trying. Upon motivation of champion mentors like Ms. Kitchie Molina, her craft was honed, polish to perfection in terms of her in-born gift is concern.
Beyond Ordinary
Windows of opportunity are showing up, Warner Music have seen their stardom potential and opened its door for them. The band has found a place under the sun. A home at that. And pretty soon, their cool presence will become more visible in the mainstream, in the radio airwaves, boob tubes, a big stage in a concert arena, perhaps. Yes, these and more are part of their big dream -and they pledged to survive while in the process of achieving so. They seemed to want it more than anything.
Who are the SUD Band Members: Sud Ballecer (on vocals and Guitar), Marc Reyes (Bass), Jimbo Cuenco – Drums, Gelo Acosta (Lead Guitar) Kohl Aguilar (Keyboard), Carlos dela Fuenta (Saxophone). All the boys are by-product of U.S.T Conservatory of Music. There is when their intense love for music grew all the more along with their faith in God.

While Aleph’s singing style is more classy, accoustic & jazzy, her unique voice bents her inner beauty. So eye candy & immaculate to watch. SUD’s is an alternative soul and a mix of technical ammo. Their voices and overall musicality’s never been boring, stiff or bland. Thus, weaving a cult following on their own.
