Veteran actress-singer Sharon Cuneta revealed that her recent trip to Singapore was not for leisure but for medical treatment related to her spine.

In a heartfelt update posted on Instagram, the Megastar shared that she underwent a medical procedure to address long-standing pain in her hip and leg.
“You might’ve heard that I was in Singapore. I wish I went there to vlog, but actually it was for medical reasons. My spine,” Cuneta wrote.
She explained that she has been undergoing pain management for about two years due to persistent discomfort in her right hip and leg.
“Well, I wish I could’ve gone to see my doctor in Singapore sooner. I had a procedure. And I do feel better, but I am still recovering,” she added.
Cuneta also revealed that further tests showed issues in her neck that will require additional medical attention.
“I also need to go back there in a couple of months because all the tests revealed that I also have stuff in my neck I need fixed. C4&5, C5&6,” she shared.
Despite the diagnosis, the actress assured fans that her condition is manageable.
“Don’t stress about it. What’s important is that I am okay, the pain has been dealt with and we got to the root of the problem/s. Praise God,” she said.
Cuneta also apologized to the cast and production of ‘Your Face Sounds Familiar’ for missing the show’s finals due to her medical situation.
“I am so sorry to my YFSF family (and my Sharonians who went) for not being able to make it to the Finals. I tried. I missed, miss, and will greatly miss all of you,” she wrote.
The Megastar also expressed gratitude to the medical team who assisted her during her stay in Singapore, including Filipino nurses at Mount Elizabeth Medical Center and her physician Dr. Prem Pillay.
“Thank you to my great nurses in Singapore, especially my Filipino ones at Mt. Elizabeth Medical Center. And thank you most of all to my doctor, Dr. Prem Pillay for his expertise and kindness,” Cuneta said.
She ended her message by sending love to her fans, affectionately known as Sharonians, and assuring them that she is on the road to recovery.
