Laughs, revelations and even sweet thoughts filled the room when the new batch of Your Face Sounds Familiar graced into a red-carpet inspired Press Conference at the ELJ Building of ABS-CBN last September 4, 2015 (Friday).
The new co-host with her new title as the “KatroFamiliar”, the first batch grand winner, Melai Cantiveros is present as the opening featured celebrity in the said press conference. She shared how her victory from the season 1 changed her career and its difference from being a grand winner as well from other tv competitions such as Pinoy Big Brother.
With the show, it has also helped her get other side projects, that has helped her on contributing to her family and relatives in General Santos.
Being the first grand winner, Melai shared some advice to the new batch on how they could successfully portray their characters to be assigned as their impersonations. She has also discouraged comparison because each batch has its own distinct style and flavor in which according to the show’s producer, what gives color to the show is the random mix of personalities combined to compete on the said competition.
One key factor of the show’s success is not the competition between the contestants, but their bonding, camaraderie and enjoyment of the journey of each week’s performances.
The new set of contestants were introduced one-by-one as they are given titles to describe their individual styles and personalities. These helped define the core strengths of each individual on how they can effectively portray their characters during the show. Who do you think would emerge victorious in this season?
