ABS-CBN made sure that their prime time programming is a balanced mixture of different genres. Thus, whatever your taste is, you would appreciate at least one of their prime time shows.
Besides, one can watch all the prime time shows and still enjoy them all. They each have their own unique but very realistic story lines.
The ABS-CBN’s Primetime Bida starting from Pasion De Amor up to Tonight with Boy Abunda, gives the formidable line-up of prime time programs include three (3) television series which has its own set of avid followers.
These are “Ang Probinsyano” which stars Coco Martin and Maja Salvador (CocoJam); “Pangako Sa ‘Yo” starring Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla (KathNiel); and “On the Wings of Love” with Nadine Lustre and James Reid (JaDine).
FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano is the newest among the three, since it was just launched on September 28 this year. Based on the FPJ movie of the same title, it tackles the life of twin brothers Ador and Cardo, who are both played by Coco Martin.
As Ador was killed when he got into a problem involving a syndicate, Cardo takes over his persona, including his work and family.
The action-packed series has drawn a lot of fans, constantly beating its competitor, Marimar, ever since it aired its pilot episode.
After Ang Probinsyano, viewers are treated to consistent top-rater, Pangako Sa’Yo (PSY). Starring one of the hottest love teams in the Philippines, PSY details the love story of Angelo Buenavista (Daniel Padilla) and Yna Macaspac (Kathryn Bernardo).
The series features complicated relationships between Amor de Jesus (Jodi Sta.Maria), Eduardo Buenavista (Ian Veneracion) and Claudia Salameda-Buenavista (Angelica Panganiban).
Yna is the long-lost daughter of Amor, but both of them do not know it. Angelo is the spoiled son of Eduardo Buenavista. Their love story is set amidst the power play among Amor, Claudia, and Eduardo.
PSY has been on air since May 25 this year and is still going very strong at the ratings game. Currently pitted against Beautiful Strangers of GMA 7, PSY’s popularity among viewers has never waned. Its lead starrers KathNiel continue to have a very loyal fandom who make the PSY hashtag a daily trending topic on Twitter.
Next in the line-up is On the Wings of Love(OTWOL), a romantic-comedy series with the JaDine love team. JaDine is one of the top love teams in the roster of ABS-CBN.
OTWOL focuses on the story of Clark (James Reid) and Leah(Nadine Lustre), who marry each other for convenience. Clark, a Filipino-American immigrant needed money and Leah needed a green card to stay in the US. She pays Clark for a marriage of convenience. In the end, they fall for each other.
OTWOL aired last August 2015 and is directed by Antoinette Jadaone and Jojo Saguin. Like Ang Probinsyano and PSY, OTWOL is constantly ahead of programs competing on the same time slot.
These three series of ABS-CBN’s Primetime Bida, continue to make waves with their impressive plots and well-written scripts. Viewers are so pleased with their stories, they don’t even want to miss an episode. A lot of fans go to iwant tv, if ever they miss an installment. Well, even those who have watched the shows on the regular time slots, still go to iwant tv. They replay an episode over and over again, especially when it is very interesting.
I can’t blame a lot of people who are hooked on the ABS-CBN Primetime Bida. I understand their addiction, because I happen to be one of them, too 🙂
