For the first time, content creator and entrepreneur Emilienne Vigier has spoken candidly about her three-year relationship with ABS-CBN actor Joshua Garcia, as well as the painful experiences from a past relationship that shaped her views on love, privacy, and boundaries.

In a recent interview with radio host DJ Chacha on her YouTube channel, Emilienne explained why she and Joshua intentionally keep their relationship away from public scrutiny.
“We’d like to keep that private,” Emilienne said, noting that avoiding public exposure has helped keep their relationship “super peaceful.” “There are no eyes. They don’t talk about your hurdles online.”
According to Emilienne, their relationship is built on mutual respect, emotional safety, and maturity.
“Super safe, love—you can tell. Very mature. We support each other, respect each other. We’re very loyal to each other. You found your best friend, too. And you can be vulnerable,” she shared.
Despite being a content creator herself, Emilienne believes that protecting what happens behind closed doors is a way of honoring both her partner and their relationship.
“The life that you have with your partner, or the foundation that you’re building, is between you two only. That’s another way of showing respect to your partner,” she said.
Asked if dating a famous actor comes with challenges, Emilienne admitted that while Joshua’s workload can be exhausting to witness, it is not a source of conflict.
“Ako yung napapagod para sa kanya—‘Damn, you work so much,’” she joked, before adding, “But it’s not hard because we are mature enough to understand.”
She also dismissed issues of jealousy, saying, “No. I think manhid na ako at this point.”
A significant part of Emilienne’s perspective on relationships, she revealed, stems from a deeply traumatic past romance involving a narcissistic ex-partner.
“I will never lose myself ever again,” Emilienne said. “If you’re gonna love someone, make sure that you really do not lose yourself and your life.”
She described the experience as emotionally damaging, citing trauma bonding and love bombing.
“That was very traumatic. It made me hate my life,” she admitted, adding that the stress even manifested physically. “Totoo ‘yung physically allergic ka sa tao.”
Emilienne emphasized that setting boundaries is now non-negotiable for her.
“Boundaries are very important in order for a relationship to work. And you should honor that,” she said.
Born to a French father and Filipina mother, Emilienne was raised in the Philippines and is fluent in Tagalog, English, and French. Aside from content creation, she is involved in an import-export business with her father and has previously run a successful pastry business during the pandemic.
While she expressed admiration for acting as a craft, Emilienne made it clear she has no plans to enter showbiz, choosing instead to focus on business and content creation.
Despite spending summers in France, Emilienne said she envisions building her future family in the Philippines, citing convenience and the quality of services.
