Celebrities who are aspiring to take a position in government flocked to the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) offices around the country and filed their Certificate of Candidacies (COCs),which officially started on Monday, October 12, 2015.

5th district Reelectionist Quezon City representative Alfred Vargas, together with wife Yasmine Espiritu, filed his COC before Comelec main office in Instramuros, Manila.
In an interview with TV Patroller Mario Dumaual, Vargas said, “[I]” want to continue serving and I realize that there’s so much more I wanted to do for my district.”
Independent candidate Jomari Yllana filed for candidacy at the COMELEC in 1st dictrict of Parañaque City as a councilor.
Meanwhile, Jolo Revilla, who is still running for vice governor position, was one of the early birds on Monday. His girlfriend Jodi Sta. Maria accompanied her in filing his candidacy in Trece Martires, Cavite.
Her mother Lani Mercado moved to tears as she remembered her husband Senator Bong Revila, who is detained for plunder and graft charges, after she filed her candidacy for running Mayor in Bacoor, Cavite.

Ex-beauty queen Daisy Reyes will run for higher position as mayor in Pateros, Rizal.
