The country’s longest running and multi awarded Musical Variety Show ASAP 20 air time have been cut short to 2 hours to give way to the newly formatted “Banana Sundae.”
“Banana Sundae,” formerly Banana Split has undergone reformatting and re branding in its three years run and now it has cuts short ASAP running time. Is this another result of the ongoing and more heated network wars?
In the previous Sundays for years now, we have been enjoying three hours of world class entertainment and performances by ASAP stars. It has enjoyed high ratings and boasts of the best stars in the country in its twenty years of airing.
Due to its many stars, performances in the past few months has resulted in shorter segments for some and now that its running time has been cut, will its world class entertainment to suffer anew.
Martin Nievera, one of the pillars of ASAP, seems to be lamenting this fact in a series of tweets. Martin who has previously criticized the new format of ASAP months ago has taken to Twitter to express his concerns among his followers.

But before that Martin already had an inkling of the two hours airtime. Martin also replied to some of his followers and who wishes for the old ASAP and asking to regroup.
Will ASAP short run and Banana Sundae airing after the show makes a dent to Sunday Pinasaya increased ratings? Will the network wars gets more ugly and Martin’s fears come true?
