Gerald Anderson appeared on Tonight With Boy Abunda clearing so many hot issues you’d absolutely want to hear.
As always, a fresh-looking, bubbly Gerald gave great answers to Boy Abunda’s tough questions. It seemed like he went to the interview with the notion that he was ready to open up to everyone.
Here are some more interesting facts he shared with Boy Abunda. Did you know that he didn’t really dream to become an actor? What he wanted was to be in the military. He also wanted to be a basketball player. Now, we understand why he loves playing basketball.
But it wouldn’t be a Boy Abunda interview if there was no real talk.
Boy Abunda went straight to Gerald’s past love life. He asked about Gerald’s relationship with his exes, Kim Chiu and Maja Salvador. It’s nice to see Gerald admitting that about 3 or 5 years ago, he was immature, stupid and proud.
He later revealed that he and Maja are OK. But he was hesitant to say that he already had closure with Kim Chiu. The Kimerald love team started during the Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition in 2006 but in 2010, they broke up due to a third-party issue with Maja Salvador. Gerald Anderson and Maja Salvador became a couple in 2010.
Gerald didn’t directly say it but up until now, it seems he hasn’t talked to Kim Chiu and put formal closure in their past. He wholeheartedly opened to Boy Abunda that if he had the chance, he would want closure with Kim Chiu because it’s hard to move on without closure. It’s hard to leave this kind of thing in the open. One notable message he said, “you forget the past, but never forget the lessons.” And, “I learned to throw the pride away.”
Now, Gerald is enjoying a new chapter of his life. He’s enjoying the journey and best of all, he’s learning from his failures. He’s currently single, but Gerald said when he’s ready to be in a relationship again, he doesn’t want to be the same partner as he was before.
Gerald Anderson really has changed. He changed for the better.
