Abante Tonight Columnist Alwyn gave Maine Mendoza advice on how to deal with her dectractors and critics. On his column in “Abante Tonite” Ignacio wrote about how Maine is being targeted by piranha writers because of “The WHO.”
In his column, he mentioned how Maine Mendoza of the ever popular AlDub tandem is being targeted and talked about as being a snob and only acts sweet and nice onscreen.
According to him, the rumors being circulated by the so called piranha writers states that:
- Maine Mendoza is snobbish.
- Maine Mendoza only acts sweet on-screen.
- Maine has a personality more sour than Calamansi.
Also in the article, Ignacio mentioned that the writers concluded what was said in “The Who” does not even verifying the truth and called it as blind item.
Because of this, the following writers expressed their disgust against Maine Mendoza and spreads it as if it is really true. It is also said that how these so-called writers talked about it as if they were there when Maine allegedly showed her snobbish and ill-mannered. They even said that we shouldn’t let it pass how this supposedly this scoundrel and ungrateful Maine is in reality.
Also noted in Ignacio’s article that these so-called writers even said, “I told you so. This Philippine sweetheart is no sweetheart at all.”
Alwyn Ignacio is not convinced about the truthfulness of these rumors against Maine. According to him, Maine Mendoza is an educated and a person with breeding. He also discounted the rumors that Maine is a snob by saying that she is sweet, gracious and nice to her fans and supporters. Besides, Maine Mendoza is very talented and her happy disposition is natural.

- They also need to highlight events and moments where Maine shows how she makes her fans and supporters happy and how comfortable she is surrounded by people.
Alwin Ignacio also emphasized that if people will read about how kind and good-hearted Maine is all over social media, print, radio and TV then people will perceive that Maine really embodies a true Philippine Sweetheart.
