Pilipinas Got Talent debuted on Philippine television last February 20, 2010 on ABS-CBN Network. Originally, the Got Talent television show begun in United Kingdom which Simon Cowell started through his SYCO Company. The Kapamilya network acquired a franchise.
Pilipinas Got Talent welcomes anyone with any outstanding talent or skill for the audition. Contestants whether going solo or in a group can perform whatever talent that they can showcase- it could be a singing, dancing, acting or a special skill.
There will be 3 judges who have the power to hit the buzzer. Three buzzer hits mean that the contestant should immediately stop their performance. With at least two yeses, auditioning contestants will automatically be included in the judges cull list where judges will only choose 36 performers that will vie in the semi-finals. Chosen finalists will compete for the tittle.
In the seasons 1, 2 and 3 of Pilipinas Got Talent (PGT) panel of judges included Kris Aquino, Ai-Ai delas Alas and Freddie M. Garcia. The first 3 seasons of the talent search reality show was hosted by Billy Crawford and Luis Manzano.
The ABS-CBN talent search show have already produced notable stars of Pilipinas Got Talent, some may have won or made it as runners-up but some made a name for themselves after they’ve joined.
