2. Gerphil Flores joined the very first season of Pilipinas Got Talent.
With her powerful coloratura voice she was able to pull through up to the semi-finals when she went head to head with balladeer Sherwin Baguion. Two of the judges Kris Aquino and Ai-ai delas Alas favored Sherwin Baguion over Gerphil for the reason that her choice of style does not fit the mainstream pop music preference of the masses.
She did not make it to the finals. After her PGT stint she ventured into pursuing her dreams and at the same time promoting classical music and made it to Asia’s Got Talent in Singapore. Audience went gaga over her performances wherein the judges of Asia’s Got Talent rendered her a standing ovation.
She finished her degree in Music at the University of the Philippines and now lives in Paranaque. Gerphil Flores is busy performing in shows side by side with various popular artists and the most recent ones were with Jose Mari Chan and Jack Jones. She is set to perform in a Valentine’s concert on February 11 and 12 dubbed as “Tales of Love” with special guests Jose Mari Chan, Junior New System and the Manila Philharmonic Orchestra.
