1. El Gamma Penumbra started as a hip-hop group in 2003.
Since then they’ve been actively competing in dance competitions in their province in Batangas. Upon deciding to join Pilipinas Got Talent season 3 they thought of innovating their acts and mastered the art of shadow play. At that time they want to reinvent their group since there are many hip-hip groups around and this has given them the edge when they took the PGT stage by storm.
El Gamma Penumbra advanced towards the finals and performed a shadow play depicting the different tourist spots in the country.
Unfortunately the votes that they got were not enough for them to be declared the winner. With full confidence they represented the country in the Asia’s Got Talent where they emerged as the grand winner. Part of their prize was the opportunity to showcase their talent at the Marina Bay Sands in Singapore.
Since then, the group has been busy performing and had already guested on some TV shows such as “It’s Showtime.”
