(2) Kris Aquino, The ‘Massacre Queen’ of the 90’s
There was once a ‘peculiar’ trend in 90’s films wherein on-going unresolved high-profile cases were adapted into films. One in particular that stood out is ‘The Vizconde Massacre Story (God Help Us!)’ back in 1994 about the massacre of the members of the Vizconde family back in June 30, 1991.
Kris Aquino starred and played the part of the slain Carmela Vizconde. Her portrayal as a character getting murdered later in the film was followed up by “The Myrna Diones Story (Lord, Have Mercy!)” (1993), “Humanda ka Mayor! Bahala na ang Diyos” (1993), “The ‘Elsa Castillo story… Ang katotohanan” (1994), and “Fatima Buen Story” (1994). With these four films on her belt, Kris Aquino was dubbed as the ‘Massacre Queen’ which add up to her other title ‘Box Office Queen.’
(3) Kris Aquino and Joey Marquez Fiasco
One of the biggest showbiz newsmakers back in 2003 was the big controversial breakup between Kris Aquino and Joey Marquez.
The whole September 2003 fiasco included jealousy which has even dragged the name of Vic Sotto, a breakup made public and into a spectacle, allegations of acquiring sexually transmitted disease, and alleged domestic violence towards Aquino which escalated to a filing of a case against Marquez only to be retracted by Kris Aquino after a public apology.

An episode of QTV’s (now known as GMA News TV) “Ang Pinaka” that features the Top controversial love affairs in Philippine Showbiz.
This is possibly one of the lowest of times in Kris Aquino’s career which opted her to temporarily leave her showbiz talk show hosting stint ‘The Buzz.’ She later rejoins the team when the whole fiasco subsided.
