That there is no truth behind the news that Liza was invited by the film outfit producing Spiderman.
The discussion as to whether Filipino actress Liza Soberano will be joining the cast of ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ has been going around in social media for quite sometime now. Given her beauty and charm, fans and followers of the actress are saying Liza can play the role of Mary Jane Watson – the love interest of Peter Parker aka Spiderman.
However, in an interview with Star Cinema, ABS-CBN’s film arm, Liza Soberano ended the rumor buy telling the fans, “It’s not really an invitation, I think it was what the fans [of Marvel] wanted. All my fans started re-tweeting it and everything, but wala naman po talagang invitation.”
It might be a rumor but it’s also a good opportunity to create a buzz. Why not!? “I would love that [to play Mary Jane]. That would be a nice opportunity,” she said.
The idea of Liza Soberano joining the new Spiderman movie actually started from a fan named Maria Quinzel and this idea became viral on Social Media.
