Were you a “Mara-Clara” fan? We’re talking here the original version which aired for five years (from 1992 to 1995).
Yesterday, Gladys Reyes shared series of photos taken during the reunion of the classic ABS-CBN teleserye “Mara-Clara.” Present in the reunion are of course Judy Ann Santos and Gladys Reyes, who played the role of Mara and Clara respectively with Wowie de Guzman, wo played Christian, and Christopher Roxas, who played Erris, was joined by Susan Africa (Susan Davis), Beverly Vergel (Alvira del Valle), Juan Rodrigo (Amanthe del Valle), Minnie Aguilar (Lagring), Eagle Riggs (CG), Paolo Contis (Jepoy), Jochelle Olalia (Karen) and Angelika de la Cruz (Joyce).
It was their very first big reunion after two decades.
Gladys also shared some throwback photos during the successful run of “Mara-Clara.”
The Kapamilya show is considered as one of the most popular television series to air on Philippine TV. It made household names out of child actresses Judy Ann Santos and Gladys Reyes, who played two girls switched at birth.
A film adaptation was made in 1996, and a new series was made in 2010 starring Kathryn Bernardo and Julia Montes.
