“MMK” beating rival program and ABS-CBN’s flagship news program topping Sunday daytime.
“Maalaala Mo Kaya” last Saturday December 10 has finally out-shined rival program “Magpakailanman”. In an episode featuring the life story of breakthrough child star McNeil “Awra” Briguela, MMK performs better in the ratings game compared to its Kapuso counterpart.
MMK’s Awra story registered a ratings of 20.7%, 1.7% higher than “Magpakailanman’s” 19%. The big boost by the Awra story has catapulted MMK to the 3rd place of Saturday primetime following consistent leader “Pepito Manaloto” and “24 Oras Weekend”.
“Imbestigador” remains Saturday daytime leader with 16% followed by “Eat Bulaga!” and “Ipaglaban Mo” in 2nd and 3rd spot.
If MMK out-shined “Magpakailanman”, another Kapamilya program has trumped competition, this time on a Sunday daytime. ABS-CBN’s flagship newscast “TV Patrol Weekend” has beaten consistent Sunday daytime leader “Sunday Pinasaya”. TV Patrol scored 14.8% on December 11 to take the throne from “Sunday Pinasaya” which step down to number 2 with 13.6%.
Meanwhile, Kapamilya Boyband search Pinoy Boyband Superstars failed to win its timeslot on its finale night. The finale which revealed the 5 hearthrobs who will make the new Pinoy Boyband scored 16.4%, 0.7% and 0.9% lower than competitors Tsuperhero and Hay Bahay!.
“Kapuso Mo Jessica Soho”, “Hay Buhay!” and “Tsuperhero” remain as the top 3 primetime Sunday programs.
