Many netizens continue to create speculations about the video scandal though Hashtag member Ronnie Alonte already denied this issue in many presscons. The alleged photo turned video scandal initially surfaced in Pinoy porn sites with many netizens pointing out to Ronnie as the person involved.
Ronnie is still considered as a newcomer since he just made his debut last year as part of “It’s Showtime” all-male boy group Hashtags. But among his contemporaries, aside from having a daily appearance on “It’s Showtime,” he also has his own album and concert (aside from Hashtags) and now, he’s part of the two Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF 2016) entries “Seklusyon” and “Vince and kath and James.”

When asked regarding the effect of video scandal on Ronnie’s career, he answered, “Tingin ko, nakatulong din!” natawang sagot niya. Parang pinag-usapan din ng mga tao na, ‘Sino ba ‘tong Ronnie Alonte na ‘to?’ Tapos, nakita nila ako, bigla nila akong napapanood sa It’s Showtime every day. ‘Ito pala yung may scandal.’ So, nakatulong din.”
