Kapuso network wins new year ratings game.
GMA Network welcomes the new year with a bang as its shows top weekend ratings board.
Based on AGB Nielsen NUTAM TV ratings survey from December 31, 2016 to January 1, 2017, Kapuso shows dominate the leaders board. “Eat Bulaga!” tops Saturday daytime with 11.3% while “Kapuso Movie Night” leads primetime.
GMA Network’s “Lipad sa 2017: The Kapuso New Year Countdown” also beats ABS-CBN’s new year countdown version “Salubong 2017: The ABS-CBN New Year Countdown”. “Lipad sa 2017” registered at number 2 with 14.8% ratings while ABS-CBN’s “Salubong 2017” settled on the 9th spot with 7.4% ratings tied with “TV Patrol Weekend” and “New Year’s Eve Mass”.
Meanwhile at the start of the new year, consistent Sunday top raters “Sunday Pinasaya” and “Kapuso Mo Jessica Soho” are back on top. After sliding to the number 2 position last week, “Sunday Pinasaya” is back on top with 10.5% ratings. Same with primetime programming, KMJS which was previously bumped off by “24 Oras Weekend” is again the Sunday primetime leader with 18.4%.
