Ai-Ai delas Alas was very thankful when she talked to the press after the premiere night of her latest film “Our Mighty Yaya”, under Regal Films.
The 52-year-old shared her feelings when she won the Best Actress award for her film “Area” at the recently concluded ASEAN International Film Festival and Awards (AIFFA).
“Siyempre natuwa ako at na-shock ako at the same time kasi parang tapos na sa movie (category), sabi ko, 10pm na, wala pang nagsasabi kung nanalo ako, akala ko talo, ‘yun pala 10:30pm (announcement),” she said.
Ai-Ai added that she did not expect to win. She stated, “Kasi, siyempre kapag hindi ka nanalo, sasakit ang loob mo, kaya ‘wag ka na lang mag-expect. ‘Yung ma-nominate ka, okay na ‘yun sa akin.”
The comedienne was also asked if she would go back to ABS-CBN.
However, “Sunday PinaSaya” host answered, “Ay promo ko lang ‘yun ng movie, pinayagan ako ng GMA, wala pang sinasabi (about the negotiation). Ayoko pang mag-isip, bahala na si Boy (Abunda, Ai-Ai’s manager) sa mga ganyang bagay,” she revealed.
