It is indeed great to discover certain scenes and know things on a film that’s about to be shown ahead of everybody right?
Imagine you can reveal surprise twists to its ending and share them online. But if you do such, there won’t be any thrill anymore for the moviegoers, right?
And that’s exactly what happened when postings and spoilers about the latest John Lloyd Cruz and Sarah Geronimo starrer [Dear Future Husband] started spreading on social media like wildfire. These were done scenes from the movie which piqued the interest of the public, especially loyal followers of the JLC-Sarah love team.
Popster Cathy Marasigan turned to social media on how disappointed she was because fans kept sharing the photos from the movie’s shoot which some had been shared and re-shared on their social media accounts. She wrote in the vernacular: “Lahat ng shoot from Day 1 to Day 16…DELETED na po Lahat. Kaya please lang.”
Marasigan even appealed to fans:
“Tsk…tsk…tsk…Dami na naman spoiler. Utang na loob, nag BACK to ZERO na po. Please maawa kayo sa pagod at hirap nilang lahat. Don’t upload any pics na naka costume sila or kasama sa scene if ever na may mag-upload, wag na lang i-share.”
She later apologized to fans, “Sorry guys, hanggang diyan ang kaya kong sabihin. Pero isa sa reason kung bakit deleted is dahil sobrang kalat na kalat na ng na-ishoot nila. “
This is another lesson learned for fans and netizens. We should all be mindful whatever it is that we share and re-share on our social media accounts. It’s always best to think of the repercussions we need to face later on because we are responsible for every act that we do.
