The series starring Kim Chiu and Gerald Anderson scored a national TV rating of 15.7%, compared to its rival program “Trops” that only got 10.4%. The episode was also a trending topic on social media as the show’s official hashtag, #ILAIMulingPagkikita garnered thousands of tweets on Twitter.
Netizens also shared their praises for the program through their tweets, showing love and support for Kimerald.
“Gabriel and Bianca’s reunion is the best episode of ‘Ikaw Lang ang Iibigin.’ So much kilig and Bianca’s character is lovable,” said @its_me_ellen.
Long-time Kimerald fan @giveawayboyya also felt giddy about the much-awaited episode. “I watched #ILAIMulingPagkikita earlier and I swear my feels came back after I saw KimErald together,” the Twitter user shared.
@jadinexmoments, on the other hand, praised Jake Cuenca’s portrayal as the antagonist of the story. “Jake is such a great antagonist I swear! He is irritating,” she said.
