Model-host Lauren Reid took to social media to vent her frustrations and disgust over Department of Health’s – Treatment and Rehabilitation Center’s refusal of her entry.
In a successive Tweets, Lauren shared how disappointed she is after being refused to enter DOH-TRC in Taguig because of her ear piercings.
“Not allowed entry into the DOPH-TRC because of my ear piercings..which I can’t take out without pliers!! Who even carries pliers?!! No one!!”, she tweeted.
While wearing ear piercings may not be allowed inside the facility, Reid said she was very disappointed because there aren’t any visitor’s guidelines available to show the rules and regulations.
DOH-TRC in Bicutan is the biggest rehabilitation center in the Philippines in terms of population. It has catered to almost 3,000 drug dependents at one time.
LionhearTV tried to get info regarding their rules and regulations for visitors but upon checking on their website, there was no available information online.
Meanwhile, her tweets have generated mixed reactions from netizens. While others sympathized with Lauren saying guideline should be in place, many others also criticized her saying it should be common sense since what she will enter is a rehabilitation center for drug abusers.
In the end, Laren said she’s not usually the type of person who would speak out or complain about inconveniences but what she experiences was really not impressive.
“I’m not usually one to complain or speak out about inconveniences’ but I am incredibly unimpressed,” she said.
