The falling star

It is evident that Maine’s first-ever teleserye with Alden Richards “Destined to Be Yours” was a major disappointment when it failed to beat its rival, “My Dear Heart”.

The still-comatosed Heart suffocated “Destined to Be Your’s” final week before its silent death on May 26. The Kapamilya teleserye got an average weekly rating of 10.1% versus AlDub series’ 9.8%, based on AGB Nielsen NUTAM People survey.

To make the situation worse, some of the members of AlDub Nation aggressively attacked Sef Cadayona on Twitter for supposedly pursuing Maine. Last week, Maine posted series of photos on her Instagram Story. This caught the attention of most of the AlDub Nations, leading to “social media investigation” that triggered them to insist that Maine and Sef are secretly dating.

Eventually, the “Eat Bulaga” host appealed to her fans to refrain from throwing harsh criticisms to people through social media. To her fans’ surprise, Maine apparently deactivated her Twitter account. AlDub Nation has speculated the reason behind Maine’s post was due to intractable behavior of her fans.

Her action seems like she forgot that she was once a basher. Hence, she was the one who needed to understand her fans’s behavior.
