In her last interview with ABS-CBN News, Nadine Lustre did not confirm nor deny the issue that she is currently living in one roof with boyfriend James Reid. However, the “It’s Showtime” host stressed that there is nothing wrong if a couple decided to cohabit.
“I mean, if that was true, so what? Hindi ba? It’s not new anymore,” she said. “There are younger couples — mas young pa sa akin [who are already living together]. It’s normal na eh. Come on, guys, it’s 2017!”
Because of this, the country’s current ‘sexiest woman’ received backlash from netizens saying she is not a good example for her teenage fans. Many believe that Nadine should have been extra careful with her statement she is a celebrity with enormous followers.
On July 13, the Kapamilya actress address the issue during her interview with the press. The 23-year-old was asked to share her reactions to her bashers; however, Nadine just smiled and emphasized she does not really mind getting criticisms.
“Normal naman po ‘yon talaga na hindi mo talaga mapi-please lahat. And as for me naman po, hindi naman po ako nagfi-filter ng isasagot ko kasi bakit po ako magsisinungaling?” Nadine pointed out.
The actress-turned-host also added that her relatives, especially her parents, are aware of her decisions in life. She revealed, “I don’t hide anything from them. So sila, ‘Basta okay ka, okay sa ‘min.’”
Nadine was also asked if she has plans of getting married soon. Her answer? “Marami pa po kasi akong gustong gawin, so ngayon po hindi ko pa po talaga iniisip,” she said.
