“Pambansang Bae” Alden Richards was again the talk of the town as video of him running away from fans in a mall somewhere in Antipolo, went viral.
The video gained various reactions from netizens. Some said that Alden just wanted to escape from his fans who are approaching him in the mall tagging him a snub.
In his interview with 24 Oras, the EB host defended himself and explained the reason behind his actions.
“At least hindi na masyado nagsisiksikan ‘yung tao, and medyo open naman ‘yung area pa-exit, so that’s the reason why [tumakbo na ako]. Para hindi na lang masyado magtagal ‘yung ganung scenario. Kasi baka mas marami pa ‘yung masaktan that time kung hindi ko inalis ‘yung sarili ko on that mob.”
There were also fans who were concern about Alden’s safety in which the young actor assured that he got out of the mall unharmed.
“Sa mga nagtatanong wala naman akong sugat, okay lang po ako. And don’t worry, ayos naman po ako as long as walang nasaktan at that time.”
