Get to meet the newest boy group that will bring “kilig” to viewers every weeknight on primetime in ABS-CBN’s newest Koreanovela “Hwarang” premiering this Monday (Oct 30).
The 2016 KBS-produced drama gathers sought after Korean stars Park Seo-Joon, Go Ara, Do Ji-Han, and Jo Yoon Woo as well as K-pop idols Choi Min Ho of Shinee, Kim Taehyung of BTS, and Park Hyung-sik of ZE:A
Together, they become part of Hwarang, an elite group of warriors that is ready to defend the kingdom at all cost. Little did everybody know, however, that the biggest battle they must face will be caused by two of its own men— DogBird (Seo-Joon) and Ji Dwi (Hyung Sik).
Eversince DogBird’s best friend, Sun Woo, was killed after seeing the face of the king who is hiding his face from everyone in the kingdom to protect himself from enemies who want the throne, he vowed to avenge his death in any way possible. Thus, he assumed Sun Woo’s identity and joined Hwarang.
In the group, he meets and becomes friends with Ji Dwi, the hidden King and the reason why his best friend was murdered. Ji Dwi is not aware yet of DogBird’s grudge against him when a new conflict brews between the two—winning the heart of one woman, Ah Ro.
How will the two face the truth once Ji Dwi’s identity gets exposed? Will they disregard their brotherhood in Hwarang and become mortal enemies? In the game of love, who will win Ah Ro’s heart?
