  • Thinking Pinoy and Mocha Uson called out TV Patrol’s fake news.
  • Netizens slammed Mocha and Nieto for wrongly labeling TV patrol report as fake news.

Two of Duterte admins prime supporters, RJ Nieto of Thinking Pinoy blog and PCOO Asec Mocha Uson has labeled TV Patrol report as fake news.

Nieto and Uson on their respective Facebook pages have called out TV Patrol for purportedly airing a “fake news” regarding Korean language being part of DepEd’s junior high school curriculum.

In a Facebook post, Uson asked whether the report was fake news or an honest mistake. She pointed out that the caption on her screenshot says Korean language but the video showed a teacher writing Japanese characters.

Meanwhile, Nieto on his Facebook page also chided the TV Patrol’s report for allegedly airing fake news. Nieto said on his post with the same screenshot as Mocha that it was Japanese and not Korean.

“Psst TV Patrol, Japanese yan, hindi Korean. SUSMARYOSEP. #FakeNews,” Nieto wrote

But the two who were dubbed as the purveyor of fake news incidentally got a taste of their own medicine. It turned out that Carolyn Bonquin’s TV Patrol report was not fake news as claimed by the two if only they watched the whole video and not just a screenshot.

ABS-CBN Digital’s Jojo Malig defended the report saying Japanese was also part of DepEd’s elective subject along with Korean and others. It just so happened that the two chose to capture the whiteboard with Japanese characters to make it appear that the report was erroneous.

“‪Pakibura iyan, Mocha.

Kaya ka pinagtatawanan eh,” said Malig.

Several netizens also blasted the two for labeling the report as fake news which it turned out was not.
