Singer-Actor James Reid won the Best Southeast Asia Act 2017 at the MTV Europe Music Awards.
James was up against other Southeast Asian acts including Faizal Tahir from Malaysia and Dam Vinh Hung from Vietnam. He was also up against Isyana Sarasvati from Indonesia and Thailand’s Slot Machine. Nominees also include Sam Willows from Singapore and a social wildcard winner, Palitchoke Ayanaputra from Thailand.
Announced last November 12 in MTVAsia.com, the 2017 MTV EMAs was held at the SSE arena in Wembley, London.
James was also nominated in the same category at the 2015 MTV EMA.
James is currently promoting his new album under Viva Records, “Palm Dreams.”
Nadine Lustre will also be directing one of the music videos on the said album together with Petersen Vargas.
