When East meets West… a combination of European and Asian cuisine results to a unique and
intriguing “Fusion without Confusion”.
The idea came to a fruition after traveling abroad by the Mother and Son tandem, Joy Tan and Josh Chua. Joy got the inspiration from his son Josh to pursue her dream of having a restaurant where she, as a chef herself, can mix and match different dishes and turn into delicious and mouth-watering fusion of European and Asian dishes that will be perfect for Filipinos’ palate. With the help and support of Joy’s talented friends, Chef Ronald and Chef Benedict, Alter Ego came to life!
The restaurant’s name, Alter Ego, was inspired by it’s meaning – dual personality. The brand is synonymousto it’s owners, Joy and Josh, whose personalities were very different- in a good way. Every dish is created with a new and unique combination; a different twist that’s unimaginable yet made possible!
The collaboration of the three equally-gifted Chefs; Joy, Ronald and Benedict, will make waves to the people soon. Expect a modern Asian food fused with European cooking techniques and vice versa; that is fun, innovative, exciting, and exceptional.
Alter Ego offers you its signature dishes that you’ll surely love to discover and explore. One of these is their Rib Eye Steak With Hollandaise Sauce. A premium-grade tender rib eye steak and béarnaise sauce with infused flavor of kaffir lime served with gratinated potato slices in cream; Sous Vide Pork Tenderloin With Sweet Potato Puree, a salty and sweet pork tenderloin served with creamy sweet potato puree and pistachio streusel; and Chicken Pandan Paella, a classic sweet and savory Thai chicken pandan served with chorizo – flavored Spanish paella rice, spicy aioli and pickled green mango.
