Sharon Cuneta and Senator Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan faced break-up rumors in 2017. During her birthday celebration in ASAP, she admitted that their relationship fell on the rocks in the past year.
When she thanked Kiko after he gave a message, she admitted that they “almost lost each other.”
In the said birthday celebration, Sharon’s closest friends gave a message. Kiko went ahead and gave his own message.
Sharon, first, made a joke how Kiko still has a huge crush on her.
“Patay na patay ‘yan sa akin ngayon, eh. Iba tingin sa akin ngayon. Plastic ka pala, noon. Sabi niya, kahit mataba ka, mahal pa rin kita.”
Kiko presented his own message to his beautiful wife:
“Congratulations for your forty years at nakakaproud. Kaming lahat, we’re very proud of what you’ve done, your accomplishments. We’re very happy. Alam namin kasi nakita naming lahat, sa pamilya, na ikaw ay naluha, ikaw ay nasaktan, ikaw ay nafrustrate ngunit nalampasan mo lahat ‘yun.”
“Dahil ikaw nga ay talagang you are amazing in terms of your commitment to your craft, to the industry and we’re very proud of you. We love you. We’re here, cheering you on. Nandito kami sa likod mo, sumusuporta at nagmamahal sa’yo. Lagi hanggang sa walang hanggan. We love you very much!”, Kiko continued.
After his message, Sharon gave her own. She thanked ABS-CBN Corporation for welcoming her home. She also expressed her gratitude to her Unexpectedly Yours co-star, Robin Padilla. Sharon further took the time to give a message to her loyal fans, Sharonians.
Sharon turned to Kiko and expressed her gratitude to her husband. Sharon also thanked her children.
“Kiko, thank you. We’ve been through so much. So very much. We almost lost each other last year. So I praise God that the family’s together, the children are happy.”
