In the press conference of The Significant Other, Dina Bonnevie and Snooky Serna received questions on their children having the possibility of having a “significant other.”
According to Dina, she won’t meddle in her children’s business. She will only interfere when they ask for her help.
Dina further shared that she can only remind her children their Christianity. She added that they made a vow and that Jesus will be the only third party they are allowed to have.
Dina shared a story about her daughter-in-law, Kristine Hermosa, rejecting a project which involves her ex-boyfriend, Jericho Rosales.
“She and Oyo (Sotto) agreed and then later on, last minute, nag-back-out siya and then I said, ‘why?’. Kasi may past, baka maging. . .you know, I’m not saying na may mangyayari pero it’s better to avoid, kasi may past.”
Kristine and Oyo highly value their Christian values. They don’t put themselves in situations where they could potentially receive temptation to sin. Although, Dina also believes that God will not let them apart if they pray every day.
“That’s our family. We are Christian people and we hold Christian values.”
Snooky almost has the same answer. However, her two unmarried children currently don’t date yet. Although, if the situation of The Significant Other happens to them, they should know how to fight. Snooky also added that she won’t meddle as she trusts the capability of her children to do the right thing. The only thing she could do would be to give an advice when they asked for it.
