After his secret marriage with her longtime girlfriend who is now his wife, Kapuso actor Mike Tan explains their reason why they choose to make it secret from the public.
The 31-year old actor revealed that it was his wife’s choice to keep it private.
“Very secret, very private. Sobrang biglaan kasi nga iniingatan kong walang magli-leak na info kasi ‘yung nga ‘yung gusto naming dalawa and to honor her request,” he explained.
According to him, Mike respects his wife’s decision on their wedding, “Hindi ko lang naman in-announce kasi ‘yun nga kasi ‘yung choice niya bilang tao. Kasi sabi ko nga, very private siya, in-honor ko rin kung ano ‘yung gustong mangyari nu’ng soon-to-be-wife ko, na wife ko na ngayon. Para sa akin, sino ba ‘yung pipiliin ko? Siyempre, ‘yung magiging asawa ko. ‘Yun ‘yung rerespetuhin ko sa kanya. Siya ‘yung io-honor ko bilang asawa ko kasi after God, ‘yung asawa mo na.”
Mike’s wife preferred a simple wedding, with no camera and grand celebration.
“Ayaw niya nang bonggang kasal, ayaw niya na may camera na kasal, actually, ‘yung naging wedding, eh, no cameras talaga ‘yun. As in, ‘yung (official) cameraman lang ‘yung kumuha ng mga nangyari sa loob. At ‘yung mga kaibigan naman namin, nag-picture sila pero hanggang ngayon, hindi pa rin nila inilalabas,” he shared.
Meanwhile, Mike expressed his happiness with his newest teleserye “Hindi Ko Kayang Iwan Ka” alongside Yasmien Kurdi, Jackie Rice, Martin del Rosario, Ina Feleo, Charee Pineda and Gina Alajar.
“I’m very happy, siyempre, new show, new blessings in life.
“Very, very inspired to work, even before naman. ‘Yung mga trabaho, siniseryoso ko talaga ito, especially ngayon, siyempre, mas naging masaya ako and at the same time, inspired sa buhay”
