Osaka Asian Film Festival will begin on March 9, Friday and end on March 18, Sunday. Antoinette Jadaone’s Love You to the Stars and Back will be shown in the said festival. Joshua Garcia and Julia Barretto also top-billed Love You to the Stars and Back.
The movie had also become a box office success when it was released on August 30.
Love You to the Stars and Back reveals the story of an eccentric and awkward girl, Mika who decided to go alien hunting. She meets a simple boy named Caloy. She also chose to give him a free ride to reach his destination. Mika finds out that Caloy has cancer. Despite his condition, Caloy learns to accept his fate and remains positive and joyful.
Love You to the Stars and Back remains one of the films selected to celebrate the 100 years of Philippine cinema. Sigrid Andrea P. Bernardo’s Mr. and Mrs. Cruz, Mikhail Red’s Neomanila and Giancarlo Abrahan’s Paki (Please Care) will also be running for the festival’s top prize against twelve other centries across Asia.
Love You to the Stars and Back had grossed more than P100 million in the Philippine box office less than three weeks.
