The 41-year-old actor talked about their 68th Berlin International Film Festival reunion.
In an interview with PEP.ph, the Ultimate Heartthrob Piolo Pascual, he admitted that he never broke up with rumored girlfriend Shaina Magdayao. The two were spotted hugging each other during the recently concluded 68th Berlin International Film Festival, where their film ‘Ang Panahon Ng Halimaw’ is one of the finalists.
“Hindi naman kami naghiwalay. Shine [Shaina] and I… we’re just busy, but what you see is what you got with us,” Piolo said.
“Wala naman kaming itinatago. Kung makikita ninyo naman kaming ganun, that’s really just how we are.”
Piolo further explained that they never admitted anything about their rumored relationship.
“Wala naman kaming inamin din. Wala namang dapat aminin. Hindi, kasi ba’t naman kami maghihiwalay, wala naman kaming aaminin?
“I mean, you know, Shine and I are in a situation na we’re two consenting adults and we know where we stand in each other’s lives,” he explained.
The interviewer prompted Piolo to share how long they have been together.
“Magsi-six years na. In fairness, di ba? Okay naman, so far, so good.”
Piolo later shared that he and Shaina are both busy with their respective showbiz commitments.
“Okay naman, Shine is busy as I am. We have the same taping days. We hardly see each other. Yung mga ganun [sa Berlin], we really make sure na we make the most out of it, kasi minsan lang yun, e. It’s our first time in an international film festival, we made sure na mag-enjoy siya.”
