It seems that Sarah Meier could not help but to express disappointment over the divided Philippines. The 36-year old actress shared her sentiments about the social and political issue that made her fellow-Filipinos divided into groups.
“Half-Filipino but fully hurting. The country I love most in this world is divided, angry; our seemingly optimistic smiling island nation, never richer in anything more than our spirit, now struggles to hold onto even that. All may be fair in love and war. But what is…this?” Sarah wrote in her tweet.
Due to the interesting topic, netizens commented on the said tweet that led to a thoughtful conversation with the model-TV host.
A netizen asked Sarah if she was referring to the political state of the Philippines then she enthusiastically replied to the netizen.
“are you talking about the political state of the country sarah?”
“I suppose so. It’s triggered by politics, for sure, but perhaps the discontent is rooted deeper? Systematic oppression, maybe? Feeling like we’re never truly heard or represented?” Sarah replied.
“Yeah for sure, I just hold on to the idea that the bigger problem, the bigger chance to hope for something better. But working to better whats around me while holding on to that hope,” the netizen responded.

“I have deep respect in you Sarah. I must say though that 80%+ of us ordinary Filipinos have never felt more hopeful and proud under this administration’s care. Peace and love,” netizen pointed out that most of the Filipinos are satisfied with the country’s current status.
The model-VJ thanked the netizen who calmly approached her to talk about the issue.
Sarah replied, “Really appreciate your gentle approach to dialoguing with me. I think I have a few more things I need to get to know about the 80+% if that’s the case. Hopeful and proud are beautiful feelings that I wish we could see more evidence of amidst the partisanship.”
