Erik Matti recently shared a tweet regarding the rumors that Darna has been shelved. In the said tweet, he attached a photo of executives with Liza Soberano and an unnamed man.
The said man had a winking emoji covered the back of his head.
However, fans and netizens alike speculated that the man in a white shirt may be Tony Labrusca. So, will Tony be Liza’s leading man for upcoming Darna movie?
The said tweet also read:

In an earlier report from PEP.ph, Tony did not confirm nor deny working in the upcoming Darna movie. However, he shared that he will be happy to work with Liza and her onscreen partner and rumored boyfriend, Enrique Gil. In the said interview, Tony also remarked that working with LizQuen would be a huge opportunity.
“If I was given the chance to work with Liza or LizQuen, that would just be an amazing opportunity. It would be a huge blessing na makakatulong talaga sa career ko and makakatulong sa akin bilang entertainer as an actor, marami pa akong matutunan sa kanila.”
After the press launch of 2018 Star Magic Circle, Tony admitted that he had met Liza. He visited his co-manager during a training for ABS-CBN’s epicserye, Bagani.
“Si Kuya Mario kasi, may alaga din kasi siya na nagte-training for Bagani, so napunta po ako sa training nila and doon ko po nakilala si Liza. Hello lang.”
Tony described Liza during the short time that they had met. He spoke highly of her and relayed which qualities that he appreciated about her.
“She’s a very sweet person, she’s very respectable, even though she’s a big artist, she always has a smile on her face and very pleasant to everybody. She doesn’t walk the hallways acting like she owns the building and I think that’s what I really appreciate about her. You just see that in a person and you hear that in the stories, eh. I don’t think anybody has ever said that Liza’s such a mean person. Whenever people talk about Liza, it’s always something positive, so that’s just nice.”
