Kim Chiu and Xian Lim are longtime lovers, and just recently on Kim’s birthday, the actor posted a simple and sweet birthday greeting calling Kim “Petunia.”
Petunia is a not a common endearment between lovers, and netizens are not slow to react. As we all know, Petunia is a vibrant and colorful flower that is commonly found in tropical countries. Apparently, the original translation of the word “Petunia” does not give a healthy meaning, since it translates to “tobacco.”
Whether they understand is an addiction to each other’s love, or the word itself has a completely different meaning for them. What we’re sure is, their love is getting stronger.
When will the lovebirds plan on getting married?
Last January 2018, Kim Chiu was interviewed in “Tonight with Boy Abunda” and she explained that she is not comfortable with the topic of settling down.
“Bata pa kami,” she explained. For now, they are just looking to enjoy each other’s company.
They went to Europe last Christmas 2017 and was the first time they traveled together. It was also Kim Chiu’s first white Christmas experience.
We can’t blame the lovers. They are young and it’s important for a relationship to discover their true selves first before committing to marriage. Kim Chiu learned a lot about Xian Lim during their European tour.
“He is patient with me and very giving. He told me that I was free to decide whatever I wanted to do.” She said.
Xian Lim was rumored to have proposed to Kim Chiu in Europe, but the young actress immediately explained that no proposal happened.
