Dingdong Dantes will appear in a few shows in ABS-CBN Corporation. However, he will not transfer to another network. He will only appear in a few shows to promote his movie Sid and Aya (Not A Love Story) with Anne Curtis. The said movie will be available in theaters nationwide on May 30, Wednesday.
The movie will be the first time Dingdong and Anne get paired up together. The movie is under Viva Films and N2 Films under the direction of Irene Villamor. In an earlier report, Dingdong expressed his gratitude towards GMA Network. He thanked them for allowing him to make movies with competing production companies like Star Cinema and Viva Films.
“Collaborative rin naman ‘yan, so dahil sa pinayagan nila ako, kaya nakakagawa ako.”
Dingdong will also go head-to-head against Piolo Pascual. They remain two of the major actors in this age of Philippine cinema. However Dingdong and Piolo’s movies will battle each other on the same play date. The said movie also has a different genre, captive market and/or target audience. Sid and Aya is a romance movie while Ang Panahon Ng Halimaw is a unique musical with acapella as the character’s dialogues.
