The ABS-CBN recording arm, Star Music, is proud to welcome Gerald Santos as the newest member of the family.
The young recording artist is the “Pinoy Pop Superstar” grand champion.
Gerald Santos signed a contract with Star Music on May 10. And immediately on May 11, his first single “I Am Yours” will be released on Spotify and other digital platforms. The song is composed by Francis Kiko Salazar.
Star Music Head Roxy Liquigan, Head of Star Songs Atty. Marivic Benedicto, Gerald’s Manager Rommel Ramilo, and Audio Content Head Jonathan Manalo were present during the contract signing.
Gerald shared what he felt having his first contract with Star Music. “Weird and nervous but very happy,” he said.
Gerald Santos started singing at the age of 7. At a very young age, he joined several amateur singing competitions and even had the chance to compete with Charice Pempengco, now Jake Zyrus, in many contests.
In 2005, he won GMA7’s “Pinoy Pop Superstar” and recorded five albums and many concerts in the network. He transferred to TV5 later on and was no longer busy, which was a blessing in disguise because he decided to enter the musical theatre.
In 2011, his theater career began as he enters the cast of Nonoy Gallardo’s “Sino Ka Ba, Jose Rizal?” where he played the lead role.
He is set to return to England to continue the “Miss Saigon UK” tour where he plays the role of Thuy. He will be joining Aicelle Santos, Joaquin Valdes, Iroy Abesamis at Bristol Hippodrome, UK.
