Aila Santos recently departed on It’s Showtime‘s Tawag ng Tanghalan. In the said segment, Ato Arman and also, Aila competed for the last Seat of Power. Ato performer Corey Hart’s Never Surrender while Aila sang Chaka Khan’s Through the Fire.
Judges Jaya, Kyla, Yeng Constantino, Erik Santos and Rey Valera properly discussed which of the two will get the Seat.
In the end, the judges chose Ato over Aila. This, then, caused many netizens to express their dismay on Aila’s departure. One netizen noted that the judges may be looking for a clean performance. But, Aila remains a world-class performance.
“TNT Hurados are looking for a clean performance and not for a “WORLD CLASS PERFORMANCE”. And yes, AILA is WORLD CLASS.”
Another netizen remarked that the judges didn’t decide fairly.
““Respect each and everyone’s opinion.” Yes. We definitely should but can you at least be fair, hurados? Aila Santos really deserve the spot. “
One netizen also compared Aila with Morisette Amon and Darren Espanto who didn’t win The Voice. However, Morisette and Darren remain two of the most successful young performers in the Philippines.
“Remember when Morisette and Darren did not win The Voice? Nasaan sila ngayon? They are WAY more successful dun sa winners. Kaya naman Aila Santos, this is just a detour of your success, pana-panahon lang yan. Still a bright future ahead for sure!”
Another netizen quipped that Aila remains way better than JM Bales as he only uses his charisma to get through a performance.

One netizen also noted that Aila’s name remains one of the trending worldwide. This, then, meant that many wanted to hear more of her and that she really did deserve a Seat.
“The mere fact that Aila Santos is trending worldwide today, it just means that there’s a clamor for her and her amazing voice. She may have failed to snatch a seat today but she will live on to be a true diva from this point on. She’s a queen in the making.”
Vice Ganda asked the netizens to stop the bashing. He also noted that everyone remains entitled to express their own opinion. However, they should remain to have good vibes.
