However, she still remains romantically linked with now-Kapuso star Paul Salas. This led to some netizens throwing hate comments to the young actress. Her mother, Bing Imperial, rushed to the rescue and defended her daughter from bashers.
A netizen, Princess ChunLi (@g1601132), involved Bing on bashing Barbie. The netizen added that Barbie has a negative image because of Paul.

Bing quoted the tweet and wrote her response. She had taught Barbie to never forget whoever had loved and supported her.

Another netizen, Nikki Vero (@vhie28579532) replied to Bing, bashing Barbie in the process. The netizen called Barbie “fake news” and “immature.” They also mentioned that Barbie only rose to fame because of JM.
