Netizens had reacted negatively towards Pinoy Dream Academy champion Laarni Lozada outshining Tawag ng Tanghalan finalist Eumee Capile during ASAP Versus in the Sunday music variety show.
In a TV Patrol report, Laarni had reacted to the insults and harsh comments from netizens. Jed Madela defended Laarni on the segment he had started with Morissette Amon.
In the said report, Laarni hoped that people should never express their hate.
“Hindi din kasi makontrol yung mga tao no. Pero sana ‘wag po tayo magsalita ng hindi maganda sa kapwa. Mas mabuti pang saktan ka physically kesa words. It can ruin your life. Puwedeng lifetime yun at puwedeng umepekto sa buhay ng tao.”
Jed disclosed that ASAP Versus should have singers overpowering others because of the whole concept of the segment.
“Talagang kailangan mong sumapaw kasi it’s Versus e. If one thinks na sumapaw yung isa, pinaninindigan niya talaga yung concept, pag tumaas ka, tataasan ko din… we give what the people want.”
Jed then asked netizens to dismiss hate and hurting other celebrities.
“If you say something negative hine-hurt mo yung artist, hine-hurt mo rin ang sarili mo in a way. Positive na lang, kung negative yan probably keep your mouth shut na lang.”
On the other hand, Jed gave a message to other singers.
“I don’t believe that there’s any lesser singer. Everybody has their spotlight, their own moment.”
