Jessica Sanchez and Morisette Amon had a duet in ASAP Summer Play. They sang Demi Lovato’s Stone Cold which has high and powerful notes. However, netizens didn’t like how Morisette tried to overshadow Jessica on the said duet.
In an interview with PEP.ph, Jessica defended Morisette on the said issue.
In the said interview, Jessica also noted that people had taken it the wrong way. Then, she explained that the duet was not a competition. She also explained that she felt honored singing with Morisette. She also expressed her gratitude to Morisette and ASAP for having her.
“I think people take it the wrong way. It was never a competition, it was a duet. We’re two different singers and she’s just absolutely amazing. I was very honored to sing with her. Thank you, Morissette, for having me. Thank you, ASAP, for having me on stage but it was never a competition.”
Jessica also shared that she will be in ASAP for another performance of a lifetime. Then, she decided that she wanted to come back to see the crowd.
“They invited me last week. It was an awesome performance with Morisette, so I decided I like to come back and see the crowd again. It was awesome.”
