According to Lolit Solis’ article in Pilipino Star Ngayon, Marian Rivera will have a new primetime teleserye in GMA Network. Lolit also found out that 1981 American television series, Dynasty, will inspire Marian’s project.
The said inspiration aired on ABC Network from January 1981 to May 1989.
The story of Dynasty revolved around the Carringtons, a rich family living in Denver, Colorado. This also stars John Forsythe as oil magnate Blake Carrington, Linda Evans as his new wife Kystyle and Joan Collins as his ex-wife Alexis.
This became an 80’s show for catfights and shoulder pads.
Super Ma’am became Marian’s last project in GMA Network. In early February, Marian still wasn’t sure about the possibility of doing another heavy drama prime-time soon.
However, at the time, she can’t confirm nor deny.
“Why not? Tignan natin, nasa plano kasi ng GMA ‘yan. Never kong kokontrahin ang plano sa akin ng GMA… Kung ano yung gusto nilang ibigay at makakabuti para sa career ko, e, magtitiwala ako sa kanila.”
