In Vlog 9: Reaction to Reactions (and Happy 25k subs!), Direk Lauren Dyogi reacted to comments netizens left in his previous vlog. He celebrated the fact that he had 25, 000 subscribers. However, as of this writing, he had gained more and now has more than 29, 000 subscribers.
Scripted? Planned love teams?
Direk Lauren clarified the word “scripted” for those skeptics who didn’t want to believe his own words. He also showed the camera a sample of a script.
“‘Pag sinabi po bang scripted, ano po ba ang ibig sabihin…? Sa industriya po, meron kaming tinatawag na script…”
Direk Lauren also detailed what a script entails: settings, characterizations, roles, and dialogues. He also added that a housemate can’t memorize a script that fast for every single day.
“Nung ginawa po ‘tong script na ‘to ay mahigit isang buwan ‘to ginagawa. ‘Pag normal na tumatakbo ang teleserye, mga isa o dalawang linggo ginagawa ang script. So, mahirap po gawan ng script at hindi po mabibigyan ng ganito kakapal na script ang ating mga housemates. I’m sure hindi po nila ‘yan makakabisa, mamememorize kung papano magagawa ‘yan.”
Then, Direk Lauren continued that scripts should be rehearsed. He also denied that PBB is scripted. He also added some facts on their official list of housemates.
“Kasi nirerehearse po ‘to. Kung ganito ang ibig sabihin natin ng ‘script,’ hindi po scripted ang PBB. Kahit tanungin niyo po ang lahat ng mga housemates, wala po silang natatanggap. Kasi po nabubuo lang po ang official na listahan namin ng housemates a week or two upon approval po ng management…”

Direk Lauren also disclosed that Pinoy Big Brother‘s objective is to reveal a housemate’s real personality and attitude. He continued that it doesn’t have a script, only tasks. He started to detail another hearsay that started to circulate regarding a love team inside the PBB house.
“Tapos nagsasabi rin daw ‘yung pagla-love team, ‘yung mga love teams, scripted daw po ‘yun. Siyempre pinakaunang sumikat na love team eh ‘yung KimErald (Kim Chiu and Gerald Anderson). Si Kim po nag-audition sa Cebu. Si Gerald, sa Manila. Sa totoo lang ha, nung mga oras na ‘yun, mas marami pang magaganda kesa kay Kim na housemate na pwede ring magustuhan ni Gerald.”
Direk Lauren shared some psychological fact why two people gain feelings for one another inside the PBB house. He added that this happens around the world.
“Kasi po, normal po na ‘pag kayo-kayo lang ang magkakasama sa iisang lugar, 24/7 sa loob ng mahabang panahon. Eh normal po tayong tao, may mga pakiramdam po tayo. May magugustuhan at magugustuhan po tayo. So, ‘yung pagkakaroon ng love team sa loob ng bahay o nagkakaroon ng kagustuhan sa isa’t isa… eh dahil ‘yan po sa set-up ng Big Brother sa Pilipinas at sa buong mundo. Dahil sila-sila rin ang nagkikita… pwede po silang magkagustuhan.”

Direk Lauren also pointed out that Melai Cantiveros and Jason Francisco. The two now has children and a home together. Ppeople may have loved their dynamics because of the progress of their story.
“Katulad po ng MelaSon (Melai Cantiveros and Jason Francisco). Si Melai po, sa Cagayan de Oro nag-audition. Jason, sa Pampanga. Eh hindi naman po namin alam na ‘pag pinagsama sila, eh magkakagustuhan ho sila… I think kaya rin po nagustuhan ng tao dahil nasubaybayan nila kung paano nagkagustuhan at nagkaligawan ‘yung dalawa. So, ‘di po ‘yan scripted.”

Direk Lauren also revealed the real story behind McCoy de Leon and Elisse Joson. If Ronnie Alonte joined PBB, McCoy wouldn’t even meet Elisse.
“May isa pa ngang kwento, ‘yan daw McLisse (McCoy de Leon and Elisse Joson) ay scripted daw ‘yan. Eto po ang totoong kwento niyan. At the time, binuo namin ang Hashtags noon. So, ang una naming inimbitahan na maging housemate ay si Ronnie, si Ronnie Alonte. Kaso nagalinlangan si Ronnie, ayaw niya maging housemate. So, the next person na willing to be a housemate was McCoy. And then, si Elisse naman noon, ay sikat ang kanyang commercial sa McDonald’s. So, nirekomenda… na dapat i-consider si Elisse. So, ikinonsider si Elisse at pumasa siya sa audition. So, nung pinagsama ‘yung dalawa, akalain ba naman naming magkagustuhan sila na matipohan ni McCoy si Elisse. So, hindi po ‘yun planado. Well, it’s an advantage to us na nangyari ‘yun.”
