GMA Network’s “The Clash” wasn’t an easy feat, but that didn’t stop Golden Cañedo from getting the top prize.
After an intense battle with co-finalist Jong Madaliday, Golden successfully earned the title as the very first “The Clash” grand champion.
Golden’s winning piece was the song “Ngayon” by George Casenco which easily earned the judges and the viewers’ votes.
Lani Misalucha shared her admiration for the champion from Cebu by saying, “Sa unang few notes, punong-puno ng puso. We are proud of you. You did a good job.”

Golden will take home P4 million worth of prizes including a house and lot, P1 million cash, and a contract with GMA Network.
The final four will not go home empty-handed. Golden Cañedo and other “The Clash” finalists will be part of GMA Network’s new musical variety show.
