Sarah Lahbati recently appeared as guest in GMA Network‘s longest noontime show, Eat Bulaga. She appeared as judge in Hype Kang Bata on October 13, Saturday.
She will also be a guest host on the show for the whole week.
Whole week in Eat Bulaga?
Sarah posted a photo of her on Twitter with four words, hoping to see the Dabarkads. She published this tweet on October 15, Monday.
“see you tomorrow, dabarkads ☺️”
In another tweet on the same day, Sarah expressed her excitement in guest hosting for the meantime.
“So excited to be joining Eat Bulaga as guest co host for the time being! I guess I’ll see you everyday, dabarkads! 😄❤️”
This raised rumors that Sarah may be saying goodbye to ABS-CBN and go back to her home network, GMA Network.
Breach of contract.
In 2013, GMA Network revealed that Sarah had violated her contract which prompted the network to sue her for breach of contract. Before the suing happened, Sarah raised issues about working under the network.
She revealed this in several posts in her Twitter account which were eventually picked up by the press.
In the said posts, Sarah mentioned that talents like her are treated unfairly even if she is one of the network’s priority stars. Sarah also tweeted that GMA Films owed her money for a movie she filmed at the time.
According to her tweets, her mother asked her handler regarding the payment but no replies were received.
Switzerland and Zion.
Sarah had an unilateral decision to go on leave which was disapproved by the network. This became a violation of her contract with GMA Network. She had declared her trip to Switzerland for an indefinite period without the network’s consent.
It was later revealed that Sarah gave birth to Zion in Switzerland. At the time, Richard Gutierrez‘s mother, Annabelle Rama decided not to bring the little boy to the Philippines as they were afraid that he might get dragged into the legal battle.
